Summary
As with the version with the exfoliation brush, I’m a big fan of this Braun series 9 epilator. It seems that for once all the attachments and technology actually work effectively rather than just being for show or marketing. You can use this in the bath or shower or dry and you get 40 minutes of use from just an hour of charge. It’s easy to clean and the shaver head means you don’t need any more razor blades. The epilator works quickly on really tiny hairs without much pain to speak of and sensitive areas can be done fairly painlessly in the shower with the skin contact cap.
Overall, this is a worthwhile investment and you only need the SkinSpa version if you’re in need of an exfoliator too.

This epilator can also be used dry or wet which is a huge bonus as epilating in the shower always reduces pain and irritation if you ask me. It’s cordless design and rechargeable batteries give 40 minutes of use for just a single hour of charging. This is yet another thing that puts Braun above the rest. The wet and dry capability also makes the heads quick and easy to wash without removing from the device.

The wider head (40% wider than previous models) means epilation is very fast and efficient and it glides around contours with surprising ease despite the new size. The facial cap also works really well for those who want to remove facial hair and the new width of the epilator doesn’t impede this at all surprisingly. It’s almost painless on the face and it doesn’t get much better than this.
While the price may put some off, you need to think about it from a long-term point of view. The shaver head means that you don’t need to buy any more razor blades, the facial head means you don’t need to bleach or tweeze and the facial cleanser means your skin will be cleaner and healthier. Considering this should last for years if you take care of it, it’s really a bargain. The main bonus though is that it really is almost painless and who can put a price on that?
