You could be seriously damaging your hair if you are not using a heat protection spray before blow drying, using your best curling wand, or straightening your hair. If you have naturally dry hair, live in a dry climate, or are regularly exposed to the cold winter elements, then be extra careful; heat damage can leave your hair looking ready for an extended stay in hair rehab!
Heat applied directly to the hair weakens vital proteins and robs your hair of natural oil. The resulting split ends and breakage will leave you with an undesired look that could easily have been prevented with the use of a good heat protection spray. As an added bonus these products can also make your hair look much better, adding shine, defrizzing, and enhancing your style.
How Does Heat Protection Spray Work?
Heat protection spray’s work by building a heat absorbing polymer around the hair, many thermal protectors also contain protein to help against the breakdown of protein in the hair by heat. Once the protection is applied you’ll be able to style your hair using heated tools with complete confidence.
