The temperature is adjustable between 140˚c and 200˚c with a small but readable screen that indicates which temperature you are at. As with most of the BaByliss curling wand range, this waving wand also has a cool tip and comes with a protective heat glove that is really good quality.
Without a clamp to kink the hair, this waving wand gives effortless, natural looking results in seconds. There are plenty of hair styling appliances out there that give half waves that flatten out quickly but this one has impressively long lasting results. It creates easy and defined waves without any in-your-face curls that don’t suit some people or look too over-styled.

This waving wand has an auto shut-off at 72 minutes and a built in heat rest so the hot part should never touch the floor if used properly. Small things like this give you peace of mind should you realise you’ve left it on while you’re out of the house.
Using straighteners or a curling wand to create waves usually results in either crimped sections or too-tight curls and the invention of the waving wand is certainly a breath of fresh air for those that want a more low-key, sexy look.
Nano-gold ceramic coating also enables smooth and silky hair and heats evenly through the barrel; even heating is important for consistency and this wand has no problems with that. The handle isn’t the sleekest though and looks a little cheap which is a shame. It’s easy to hold but just looks a little clunky.

If it’s the tousled look you want – this is the set for you. If you want more versatility and prefer curls to waves most of the time, then this tool might not be right.
